Delightfully rustic but very well appointed one bedroom, self contained apartment on the second floor of the owners’ classic 18th century Tuscan farmhouse that has been carefully and lovingly restored retaining all the original features and yet providing modern luxuries such as wireless internet connection for your laptop.
The farmhouse La Casina is situated in the famous Tiber Valley and is surrounded by picturesque fields of crops, with views of the Apennine foothills and glimpses of historical towns such as Anghiari and Citerna. While located in the beautiful Tuscan countryside both the charming Medieval hilltop town of Anghiari (famous also for it’s linen, lace & antiques) and the delightful walled town of Sansepolcro are just 7 minutes drive with their wealth of art, restaurants and trattorie that offer traditional Tuscan fare at realistic prices, speciality shops, significant bi-weekly markets, very traditional town ‘feste’ and of course their historical charm.
The apartment features classic exposed chestnut beamed ceiling, terracotta tiles and a beautifully appointed and very functional bathroom and kitchen. The dining room has a sofa that transforms into a comfortable single bed so the apartment while compact can easily accommodate a third person.
Guests may enjoy exclusive use of the saltwater pool and the charming garden with many spots for dining al fresco and shade under the trees in order to relax with your holiday novel.
Your hosts Antonio & Justine Gorini are only too happy to provide information on the area, places & events not to be missed, the best local restaurants, in addition Justine can provide a catered meal if you feel like enjoying the property without having to cook & clean up.
The property is strategically placed between Sansepolcro, the birthplace of the world renowned Piero della Francesca, his famous Resurrection of Christ is on exhibition along with other masterpieces at the Museo Civico and the charming Medieval hilltop town of Anghiari that enjoys perhaps the most panoramic views of the Upper Tiber valley so very rich in culture, art & history. Both towns are just a 7 minute drive away and have an abundance of excellent restaurants & bars, specialty shops, weekly markets, supermarkets plus theatre, cinema and local annual festivals.
Whether you choose to simply relax by the pool and soak up life in rural Tuscany then enjoy a spectacular Tuscan sunset over a quiet drink in the garden or alternatively you opt to explore the numerous quaint and historical towns and their artistic treasures within easy reach and then enjoy a well deserved dip in the pool ... a special and memorable holiday is all but guaranteed!

The weekly rates are inclusive of power, gas and weekly cleaning but exclude central heating costs.
