Classic chestnut beamed ceilings and traditional terracotta paving throughout, this spacious apartment is set on 3 levels and situated in the heart of the historical centre of the famous medieval hilltop town of Anghiari. The apartment looks out over classic Tuscan roofscapes and other quaint historical palazzi. The main town square is just a 2 minute stroll away.
Immerse yourself completely into the life and culture of a prized and unspoilt Tuscan medieval town. Anghiari is a village to be explored and discovered on foot, with its’ delightful gardens and enchanting views over the Upper Tiber Valley, the more you stroll the more you will be enchanted.
The apartment itself features two separate entrances from equally charming cobbled streets that lead to a number of authentic restaurants, fine bars and wine tasting Enoteche.
The apartment comprises a spacious dining/living area on the ground floor featuring a traditional stone fireplace along with satellite TV. A curved stone staircase leads to the first floor that houses a characteristic but functional kitchen including a microwave, small breakfast table and also ADSL internet access for your laptop. Also on the first floor is the first of the three bedrooms along with an adjoining well appointed bathroom with shower.
Another characteristic stone staircase leads to a second double bedroom plus additional bedroom hosting two single beds. These share the second ceramic tiled bathroom also with shower. The apartment also has an automatic washing machine and a cell phone with pre paid Italian card may be supplied upon request. A welcome hamper with fresh fruits, complimentary wine along with provisions for your first breakfast is also provided.
The apartment is a classic tower/house typical of the Medieval period and forms a part of the ‘Palazzo Taglieschi’ named after the family who owned the building and that was considered to be the wealthiest family in the area in the 15th and 16th centuries. Two al frescoes were painted in what today is an independent apartment, both are exhibited in the Taglieschi Museum next door.
Anghiari is also home to the famous linen shop Busatti, interesting specialty shops along with authentic weekly markets. The Rates
The apartment is generally rented on a weekly basis but may be rented on a daily basis for a minimum of 3 nights, subject to availability.
