Ideally located on the border between the famous regions of Tuscany and Umbria, the Farmhouse sits on a hilltop 800 m above sea level and offers a complete escape for those in need of peace and tranquillity.
The Farmhouse is situated on a panoramic hill 800m above sea level on the Tuscan-Umbrian border. Ideally located for exploring the many places of interest in easy reach in both Regions including Florence, Siena, Perugia, Assisi and Gubbio. Lake Trasimeno with beaches, watersports and an enchanting island, accessible by a short boat trip is within an hours drive. The Tuscan city of Arezzo is only 45 mins by car and is on the main railway line for easy travel to major centres such as Rome and Florence.
The nearest village to the Farmhouse is Lippiano (5km) which has a small bar that during the Summer months is open 2 nights a week for casual meals based on the traditional local Umbrian Ciaccia. There is also dancing on Saturday evenings offering a first hand glimpse into the culture of small rural towns. Nearby Monterchi (7km) is larger with a selection of specialist shops, restaurants, bars and a fully stocked, old fashioned supermarket. Many more modern supermarkets can be found in the larger town of Sansepolcro, just a 25 minute drive from the property.
Above all Cosetta’s is a property appreciated by guests looking to escape the pressures of modern day life and enjoy complete peace and tranquillity. The swimming pool (6x12m) surrounded by natural beauty of the unspoilt countryside is situated on a panoramic terrace just above the Farmhouse and hosts sun umbrellas and loungers. There are many beautiful walks in the area and those who like cycling, mountain bikes are available at no charge. The property features outdoor dining areas and also BBQ facilities.
The Farmhouse has been carefully restored retaining the original features and is divided into 3 apartments, one of which is the home of your hosts that are discretely available to provide any information you may require. Cosetta is fluent in English and they also offer Sahaja Yoga and meditation lessons at no additional charge.
The 2 rental apartments in the main building each consists of 2 double bedrooms (one in each may alternatively be made up as a twin), a well appointed bathroom and kitchen. The third apartment consiting of a double and twin room is immediately adjacent in the fully restored ex hay barn.
The property accommodates a total of 13 guests in beds plus an additional 2 people on sofa divans. A smaller group may still enjoy exclusive use of the grounds and swimming pool at a discounted rate as Cosetta will leave the third apt vacant for the duration of your stay.
