Valentina’s Vineyard Farmhouse (#441)

Ideally situated close to the famous Tuscan town of Lucca and within easy reach of Florence and Pisa, the farmhouse offers a peaceful base from which to explore the region.

The four apartments on both the ground and upper level of the farmhouse are simply but comfortably furnished in the rural Tuscan style. Each apartment features a double bedroom and also a sofa divan, bathroom and kitchen/dining room with an outdoor dining table, BBQ and pergola.

The farmhouse sits on the top of a hill above the charming village of Bagni di Lucca Terme in the Serchio Valley which is famous for its colours, fragrances, flavours and history. The private gardens and swimming pool overlook the farm’s vineyard composed of 2500 vines and a young olive grove and the surrounding hills dotted with historical villages.

The private pool hosts sun loungers and umbrellas in very tranquil surroundings. There are also plenty of trees in the garden and nature walks to be enjoyed in the immediate area. The land extends for one hectare where there are vines, olive-groves, vegetables, raspberries and blackberries. Guests are welcome to help themselves to produce from the vegetable patch.

The beautiful vineyard is composed of 2500 vines, red vines are Malvasia, Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet, Cannaiolo, white vines are Malvasia-Candia, Trebbiano, Colombana.

There is a wine vault recently built on one side of the vineyard which produces red, white and rosè wine.

A young olive-grove composed of 200 olives-trees, the olive-season is in october-november, picked by hand and the olive-oil is cold pressed in the traditional way. Valentina’s father purchased this traditional Tuscan farm in 1970 and planted the vines. Valentina is enjoying the traditions and farm activities and she is pleased to be able to share this setting with her guests.
